Raubex Building Cape was formed in 2025 to give the Western Cape a building contractor that is run from the Western Cape — with the backing of one of South Africa's largest listed construction groups.
The story
Raubex Building, the building arm of the Raubex Group, has delivered commercial, institutional and housing projects across South Africa — including work in and around Stellenbosch from its Cape Town base.
Clients in the Western Cape kept telling us the same thing: they want a contractor whose decision-makers are on the ground, not on a flight. So the Cape operation became its own company.
Raubex Building Cape is headquartered in Stellenbosch, led locally, and focused only on the Western Cape. Behind it sits the Raubex Building relationship — shared systems, procurement muscle, plant and expertise — and the governance of a group listed on the JSE since 2007.
For a client, that means the responsiveness of a regional contractor with the capacity to take on projects a regional contractor normally can't.

The Raubex connection

Raubex started in 1974 and listed on the JSE in 2007. Today the group builds roads, infrastructure, energy and buildings across Southern Africa and Australia. Raubex Building is its building specialist — shopping centres, hospitals, hotels, student accommodation and some of the country's largest housing programmes.
Raubex Building Cape carries that lineage into the Western Cape with a dedicated local company.
